Our school has jointly developed with and distributes to parents a School Parent and Family Engagement Policy and School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) that the school and parents agree on. Our school involves parents in the process in an organized, ongoing, and timely way (see number 7 below). Our school notifies parents about the School Parent and Family Engagement Policy in an understandable and uniform format and, to the extent practicable, distributes this policy to parents in a language the parents can understand (for languages exceeding 15% of the school population, information is provided in those languages). The school makes the School Parent and Family Engagement Policy available to the local community, by placing it on the school’s website and through the front office.

Describe how parents and family members of participating children in Title I, Part A programs, may amend a parent and family engagement school policy that applies to all parents and family members, if necessary, to meet the requirements (ESSA Section 1116[b][2]):

The district conducts a minimum of one annual meeting at a convenient time for parents. The purposes of this meeting are to: a) Involve parents in the joint development and joint agreement of the Local Educational Agency Plan and parental involvement policy b) Provide an ongoing process for the development, refinement, adoption, and distribution of the Local Education Agency Plan and parental involvement policy c) Provide time for an annual review of Local Educational Agency Plan and parental involvement policy (GGUSD Administrative Regulation 7113.1).
